What are essential oils?
Essential oils are generally obtained by steam distillation of herbs, flowers fruits, wood and resins. These natural and organic essences have each got their own characteristics and a unique aroma.
How are they used?
Essential oils can be used individually or mixed with others to create your own combination. There are a lot of ways to enjoy their benefits: with massage, in the bath, by vaporizing or inhalating these oils, as perfume for rooms, with pads …
Essential oils can be used at a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level and are ideal in combination with other therapies too. Aromatherapy can be quick and efficient depending on the purity and quality of the essential oils used.
 MASSAGEIt is the most popular use and helps to absorb the oils on the skin; dilute your oil selection in an essence jar at an allowed dose of 6 drops every 10 ml of base oil (two teaspoons). For a relaxing massage after a sports session or physical exercise add 4 drops of marjoram and 3 drops of rosemary oil to 10 ml in an essence oil jar. You can make your own mix; you just have to choose your beauty lotion and use any of the essential oils from our wide selection and mix with the selected essence. |
BATH Essences mixed in hot water are absorbed through the opened pores quickly at the same time as steam is inhaled. It is another delicious way to use essential oils. Prepare a hot bath, add 10 drops of essential oil spreading them with your hand. Then, relax in the bathtub for at least 10 minutes to let the aroma act. |
 VAPORIZATIONVaporization of essential oils can refresh the atmosphere of roooms at home. Essentia oil burners or lamps are ideal to disperse essential oils in the air. A few drops of lemon essential oil can help keep mosquitoes away. |
 INHALATIONIt is considered a traditional use of essential oils. Add 2 drops on a handkerchief and inhale the aroma. You can also add a few drops into a bowl of hot water, cover your head with a towel and breathe for 5 to 10 minutes. |
PERFUME  To perfume a room, add a few drops of essence to the melted wax of a candle. You can also add 2 drops to a light bulb, ideally turned off. Turn back on after having added the drops. |

In Aromatherapy certain oils are used as base oils to mix with essential oils, due to their pureness and concentration it is convenient to mix them in vegetable oils. MARNYS has a broad selection of natural and pure vegetable oils to use as base. Our oils are obtained by cold pressure of flowers and seeds depending on the oil, they can be used internally or externally.

Warning: Essential oils are very concentrated substances and therefore must be observed closely. Keep away from children. Avoid eye and mucose contact. Keep in dry, fresh place away from light and close cap completely. If you suffer any illness or you’re pregnant ask your medical advisor before use. In case of pregnancy only use lemon and orange. In case of sensitive skin try oil on a small zone.
